My entertainment for the day is going to be reading the comments on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! as people attempt to justify how breaking these rules daily is necessary and how it's totally ok because others break these rules as well.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I probably won't comment on a single one, but I shall find the mental gymnastics to be somewhat enlightening.
I wonder if they realize that the article is describing them...

The lack of self awareness will be staggering

It's not quite schadenfreude , but I suspect that the Germans likely also have a word for taking pleasure from the ignorance of others.

I... may or may not have posted something to that effect on the entry abotu keeping a gap. In my defense, I wasn't arguing in defense of breaking the rule, or even admitting that I do that. Most of the time, I drive way too relaxed on the right lanes to even stick close to the traffic ahead, because, yes, I budget a lot more time for my commutes than I actually need.

I commented about how Zipper merging does not work where I live because people do not leave enough room for traffic to merge between the cars already in the open lane.
It should work. If people weren't blithering, ignorant, potato-brained simpletons behind the wheel we might actually have better driving experiences. Sadly, peoples is stupid.

Unfortunately, we don't have one single word for that, but we do have this saying "Dummheit tut weh." (Being dumb hurts.)
That aside, it's interesting to see how almost everybody comes up with the same reply. "I would like to do that, but drivers in Bunghole, Texachussettsidazonacut are way too stupid, so I can't."
Maybe they should just give it a try, they might be surprised.

I stopped myself from posting a comment. It was going to be something along the lines of "Also, I have heard that to drive in Boston, you basically need to be a complete and total asshole who is completely unaware that there are other people around them."

Thats a pretty accurate statement. I grew up in the Boston area, so I would know.

I'm not going to comment.
Because I can't.

I just want to say, it's called leading by example.
You can join them and be a part of the problem, or you can say, fuck those dumb fucks I am doing this the right way and hope the sheeple slowly follow suit.

You can. You just choose not to.

We don't fap because it is easy, but because it is hard.
Similarly, that somehow applies to FP.
I've lost that loving feeling.
Ohh that loving feeling.
